• 4th highest Bulgarian mountain peak "Cherni Vrah" (2290m) at "Vitosha Mountain". • Park "The Bells" / "Kambanite" - established in 1979, declared by the United Nations as the International Year of the Child. An international children’s arts festival took place in the park between 16-25 August 1979 aiming to bring together children from all around the world. The event became known as the “Flag of Peace” International Children’s Assembly and was organized under the patronage of UNESCO under the motto "Unity, creativity, beauty".

• "Golden Bridges" is the largest stone river on Vitosha Mountain. The feature is situated in the valley of Vladayska River, extending 2.2 km, and up to 150 m wide, with several ‘tributary’ stone rivers. The stone river is ‘descending’ from elevation 1800 m above sea level in Boeritsa Chalet area to 1410 m at Zlatnite Mostove site. The lower extremity of the stone river is known as Zlatnite Mostove site, a popular tourist destination accessible from Sofia by road. The name ‘Golden Bridges’ derives from the golden colour of the lichens growing on the surface of stone run boulders.

• The famous "Nu Boyana Film Studios" - opened in 1962, it was state owned until 2005 when it was bought by Nu Image and Millennium Films - one of the longest-running independent film companies in Hollywood. With an area of 30 hectares (75 acres), the complex features 10 sound stages and various standing sets – New York, London, Middle Eastern street, St Paul's Cathedral and a big ancient set, complete with a Roman coliseum.

• "National Historical Museum" - Bulgaria's largest museum, founded on 5 May 1973. The museum was moved in 2000 to the former primary residence of the dictator and the last communist leader Todor Zhivkov at Boyana, and currently contains over 650,000 objects connected to archaeology, fine arts, history and ethnography. 

• Lift "Simeonovo-Aleko" - a cable way with a 6-person gondola, connecting Simeonovo with the "Aleko" hut on Vitosha mountain. It was built in connection with the conduct of the Summer Universiade in 1983 and was officially opened on 4 April 1983. Manufactured by the Austrian company "Dopelmajer", it is 6270 meters long, with a denivelation of 1077 meters and a capacity of 1500 persons per hour.

• Borovets - a town on the northern slopes of Bulgaria’s Rila Mountains. It’s the gateway to numerous ski and snowboard runs on Rila National Park’s craggy Musala Ridge. Cycle routes crisscross the alpine landscape. Footpaths lead through rocky outcrops and valleys to the 7 high-altitude Musala Lakes, including glacial Icy Lake.
